Two days ago we already learned how Google is preparing to launch a new update to Android Wear that brings different news for users who own one of those calls such as smart watches or smartwatches. Yesterday Google detailed yesterday in an entry in one of its blogs that we can expect from this new update to Wear.
While we wait to be able to access that new firmware We can access the new version that the Android Wear app has received today to prepare for the new features coming to Wear. There are some other interesting news in what is the look of the app and other interesting features.
A redesigned main screen
Most of the main screen has been totally redesigned to the Google card standard. Highlights the watch face and voice actions selector, an access to the Play Store to access more apps, an advice card for those new to Wear and a couple of notifications to try. Except for the direct access to the Play Store, the rest can be eliminated to focus on what we want in this new version of the Android Wear app.
When updating we will realize how WiFi is one of the main novelties, since permission will be requested to synchronize through the cloud using the WiFi connection to allow Google Fit to use sensor data.
Another great novelty is the support for pairing different Wear devices so that you can switch between them without having to pair them again.
Other details to take into account in this version are the calendar events that will be available to all associated accounts, a redesigned settings screen for each device and general settings, and what will be the installation of Google Play Services 7.3.27 that is installed when updating to this version of Android Wear.
