When BBM came to Android less than two and a half years ago, it seemed that it was going to eat the world. The truth is that in the first months it was installed by many users due to the privacy functions that this app has. What happens that little by little has been losing followers and has almost passed into oblivion for many others. With Telegram, WhatsApp, Line and other apps, BBM has gone into the background until a few days ago when it received a major update.
The app has now received several interesting news such as with a better notification control, support for Marshmallow permissions and what are all the privacy and control features completely free of charge. Which is in itself a great welcome, since we are facing one of the safest apps that exist and that now you can access all that privacy without any extra payment or anything.
The changelog for the new BBM:
- All privacy and control features are now free: messages and photos with timer, withdraw, private chat and edit
- Forward messages from one chat to another
- Ability to disable notifications for multi-person chats
- You can scroll through all the shared images in a single or multi-person chat
- You can choose whether photos taken within BBM chats are saved on the device
- Marshmallow compatibility
- Bug fixes and performance improvement
Privacy features are now a great option to take into account for an app that, if it weren't for Blackberry Priv, has been forgotten by many users. Failure to properly update the app every so often means that it is not talked about, something that will change with this update.
The update is now available from the Google Play Store, so if you are looking for another option to Telegram, WhatsApp and other apps, BBM can be for you.
