Asus Eee Pad Slider, a tablet with a sliding keyboard

We continue detailing the Android devices that Asus has introduced at the current tech event taking place in Las Vegas, CES. This time it is a tablet with certain peculiarities that we see below.

Asus Eee Pad Slider

We move to a device somewhat larger than the previous one Asus EeePad MeMo and with a keyboard, as its name suggests, sliding under the screen. The Asus Eee Pad Slider It comes with a screen size that I like, 10,1 inches, a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels and an IPS type panel.

Un Nvidia Tegra 2 processor will be in charge of giving life to this somewhat atypical tablet as it has a physical sliding keyboard. This keyboard once opened allows it to be used as if it were a netbook, leaving the screen with a certain inclination for a better view. It looks interesting although you would have to try it to get a better idea.

It will have mini-HDMI, mini-USB ports and a micro SD card slot and card reader. To this we add Wi-Fi connection b / g / n, Bluetooth 2.1 +. The storage capacity can be chosen between 16 Gb or 32 GB of eMMC Flash memory.

This tablet does not lack cameras either and there are two that it has, of course one on the front and one on the back. The first 1,2 Mpx and the second 5 Mpx with LAD-type flash.

Its dimensions are 273x180x17,7 mm and a weight of 886 grams. The price of this second Asus Android terminal will be around $ 499-799 and it will not be until May when we can touch it with the honeycomb version installed.

Of the Altek Leo 3.5G with Android 2.1 or 2.2, do you know something if they present it at CES?
