While we eagerly await the arrival of Google Maps offline maps at the end of the year, for now we can be content with the launch of a new version of this application for navigation and maps. And although we do not have any of those great news that we like to announce so much, the truth is that Google Maps 9.10 comes with some other interesting thing.
With this new update we can access a new view for the image gallery, the possibility of renting cars from the application itself and some other improvement related to the adjustments.
The truth is that the arrival of offline maps by the end of the year was one of the surprises from the past Google I / O keynote. A token movement by Google to try to lower the popularity it has achieved Nokia HERE Maps with those offline maps that it offers to its users since the arrival of Android and that allows you to navigate offline by having the GPS connected.
New image gallery view
While they left us stunned by the Google Photos ad, is now the time for Maps to touch up the image gallery view. This change has to do with some of the changes made to the image upload interface for the locations we have visited. The goal was the ability to upload multiple photos at once to streamline this process.
This time the change refers to the possibility that Google offers the user to see several photos at the same time. When one is on the location screen with photosBy clicking on the shortcut we would go to the first image on the list, so that users had to swipe from beginning to end. In the new version, users are placed in a gallery view with each photograph properly organized in order to select them.
