The Honor Magic 2 has recently been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform and now too has appeared on AnTuTu. The Magic 2's AnTuTu listing has revealed its key specifications. However, what is surprising about the list is that even though it shares the same specifications as the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, it has recorded a lower benchmarking score on AnTuTu.
This has been registered under the model number "TNY-AL00" with AnTuTu. The appearance of the same model number on TENAA has revealed that it is the Honor Magic 2, which will be made official on October 31. The Huawei TNY-AL00 model has also been evaluated by Geekbench.
Honor Magic 2 AnTuTu list reveals that It has a panel with FullHD+ resolution and is powered by the Kirin 980 chipset and 8 GB of RAM.. It has an internal storage of 128 GB and is loaded with Android 9 Pie as the operating system. The phone has recorded an average score of 248.368 on AnTuTu. In comparison, the Mate 20 Pro, which includes the same specifications and a QHD+ resolution display, managed to have a wonderful score of over 307K on the benchmarking platform. The Magic 2's AnTuTu score is also lower than the latest Snapdragon 845-powered smartphones, which made it to the top 10 performing Android phones of September 2018.
The Magic 2 is scheduled to be official on October 31. This indicates that the Magic 2 phone that has been evaluated at AnTuTu could be your non-optimized pre-production unit.
AnTuTu's Weibo account also states that The Honor Magic 2 could be available in 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variants. Via TENAA, it has been revealed that the highest configuration variant of the phone will feature 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Other features of the terminal include an in-screen fingerprint scanner, a pair of TOF sensors, 3D facial scanning, 16 megapixel front camera, 16 MP + 24 MP + 16 MP triple rear camera, 40 watt super fast charge and a 3.400 mAh battery capacity. At the same time, it would sport a manual slider design and is expected to arrive in Black, Silver, Blue and Red color variants.
