Android Oreo 8.1 is coming to the Razer Phone in April confirming that it skips Android 8.0

And again we continue to see how Android version 8.0 is being a tough nut to crack for most manufacturers, although seeing the future advantages that the adoption of Project Treble offers us in this version, we will have to arm ourselves with patience to that at least in future versions, updates are much faster and that we do not have to wait more than six months to be able to enjoy the latest version of Android.

The Razer Phone hit the market with Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Since its launch had kept mum regarding the update to Android Oreo, silence until yesterday. The company has confirmed through Twitter that it skips the Android Oreo 8.0 update to directly launch Android 8.1, the latest version of Android currently available on the market and that at the moment it is only available on Google Pixels and on the Essential Phone .

The update will arrive in the middle of this month, though if you want to try the beta, you can do it through this link, although it is not recommended unless you want to start trying all the new features that come with this new version of Android. At the moment, and in the absence of the official launch, Razer does not offer details of the new features that this version of Android Oreo will bring us, in addition to those offered by the operating system itself.
