Android Auto will offer support for the Google Podcast application

Android Auto is the multimedia system that Google offers users to be able to integrate all the content of your terminal directly into the vehicle through your multimedia system. Currently most manufacturers offer this system as an option or directly natively, which allows us to enjoy the content of our smartphone without physically interacting with it.

Podcasts have also become a multimedia format that it is increasingly consumed by the general publicNot only for the convenience it offers us by being able to listen to our favorite radio program whenever we want, but also because it offers us exclusive thematic content that we cannot find on conventional radio stations.

However, despite its popularity, when Google relaunched the Podcast application again this did not offer a series of functions such as automatic content download or integration with Android Auto. Fortunately, over the months some of them have been arriving. The latest to do so is the Podcast app's compatibility with Android Auto. This compatibility comes from the hand of the update of the Google application, specifically version 8.91.3.

Unsurprisingly, the interface of the Podcast application in Android Auto se looks a lot like most podcast players that we have at our disposal today. The only appreciable differences are found in the navigation drawer that currently offers us four options: Your podcasts, New episodes, Downloads and In progress.

The player shows the Next and Previous buttons, as well as two buttons to rewind the playback 10 seconds or advance it 30 seconds. At the moment this version of Google is not available in the Play Store, so we're going to have to wait for the search giant to offer it, or well stop by APK Mirror to download it and start testing podcast support for Android Auto.
