This is a successor to last year's model. The new model comes with a number of updates, regarding the design and even some important specifications, but if you are expecting a significant improvement in performance, you will be disappointed, as comes with the same Mediatek MT6739 processor used by the previous model. However, the SoC now has a higher speed, 1.5 GHz. In relation, it comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage space, which can be expanded via microSD card up to 128 GB.

The Alcatel 1x (2019) now has a Larger and sharper 5.5-inch diagonal HD + display with 83% screen-to-body ratio. This is covered by Asahi's Dragontrail glass (2.5D). It still has a 13 MP rear camera, but it is now supplemented by a 2 MP secondary sensor to capture depth of field details for portrait images.

The 8-megapixel front camera on last year's model was swapped out for a 5-megapixel sensor that supports facial recognition; it is accompanied with an LED flash. There will be a variant with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and another without it. The phone will also have support for NFC, hybrid dual SIM card (nano only), Bluetooth 4.2 and FM radio.

The 1x (2019) is still distributed with Android 8.1 oreo like its predecessor, but it comes with a larger 3.000 mAh capacity battery.

Price and Availability

TCL will launch the phone in Africa, Europe, the Middle East and North America later this quarter and will be sold for 120 euros, although more details about its exact date of commercialization must be awaited.

It will be available in Pebble Blue and Pebble Black in a finish that is scratch and slip resistant and also hides fingerprint smudges.

The rear camera is a 5 MP resolution fixed focus sensor, with f / 2.4 aperture, which is interpolated at 8 MP, while the front camera is a 2 MP sensor interpolated at 5 MP. There are a plethora of camera modes, including a Social Mode, which makes it easy to share to social media.

The terminal has support for dual SIM (nano only), Bluetooth 4.2 and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. In turn, it has a 2,000 mAh battery capacity without support for fast charging. It also does not support 4G LTE connectionbut it has an FM radio, a 3.5mm audio jack, and an LED flash. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) and will be available in Volcano Black and Enamel Blue.

Price and Availability

The Alcatel 1C (2019) is priced at 70 euros and will be launched in the markets of Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and Europe. As can be seen, its availability will be global. It will arrive soon, although it is not known exactly when.
