Adobe has just published a concept video in which an iPad user gets to work simple changes to your photos when using voice commands. This could imply big changes when we interact with these photo editing apps on a device, since if we take into account the actions carried out, many could be applied with our voice.
The technology used in the video clip is not something really surprising at first, since surely the same result can be achieved in a faster way when using the touch screen of the smartphone. Although it must be said that being a concept, we could be in the first steps of something bigger.
Apart from the voice-based system should be sophisticated enough to understand a wide variety of commands or synonyms for them. At the moment it seems simpler to use the buttons on the screen to make these changes, but since we are facing this trend of virtual assistants, the idea of telling it to apply a vintage filter to that photo that we just uploaded to Google Photos , can be quite practical.
Adobe has made it clear that these are the first steps towards a more robust voice-based interface that allows creatives to search and edit images more naturally and quickly on mobile. It is in the mobile where this could be successful, since in the Adobe programs for the desktop, where more complex tasks and actions are carried out, its implementation becomes more difficult.
All the more basic tasks would be more concrete for the use of voice commands such as opening a document, applying an automation or changing from one tool to another from the speed of saying it with our voice.
It looks good, but you have to try it in reality ...
A greeting.
