One of the most outstanding novelties that Android 8.0 Oreo incorporates and, in turn, one of the most oriented to users, is the so-called feature of the adaptive icons that allow you to change the shape of the icons throughout the operating system interface. Thanks to this feature, if a smartphone manufacturer wants all its icons to be square, circular or teardrop-shaped, it will be much easier than ever to do so.
But of course, there are few devices that run Android Oreo yet, and although the complete list is expanding little by little, it will be a long time until older devices can benefit from this feature. Fortunately, app developers come to the rescue and the latest Action Launcher update includes support for adaptive icons on devices running Lollipop onwards.
Action Launcher's support for adaptive icons is made through a new update of the launcher itself in combination with a new companion app called AdaptivePack, whose image you can see above.
AdaptivePack is an application thanks to which Action Launcher is capable of displaying adaptive icons on all smartphones running Lollipop or later. And if you are fortunate that you already have Android Oreo on your smartphone (even later), the application will offer adaptive icons for apps that don't officially support them yet.
But beware! Because AdaptivePack is not a normal icon pack so it will only work with Action Launcher, so you will not be able to use it with any other third party application launcher.
