A Samsung Galaxy S4 with Tizen 3.0

Tizen 3.0 on a Samsung Galaxy S 4

Samsung is still committed, perhaps with good judgment, in not depend on google and its Android operating system for all your mobile devices. That is why it has already tried with several options such as Bada that has not come to fruition, and now it is trying with the evolution of MeeGo, called Tizen, in version 3.0 already.

Recently we have seen some images of this operating system running on a Galaxy S III, to which we now add photographs of a Galaxy S 4 with said environment.

Bada It is a system developed entirely by Samsung with the mind set on mobile phones and tablets. The first of the devices with this environment could be seen back in the year 2.010, specifically the Wave S8500 model. Subsequently, some more models have followed one another, but it has not come to fruition.

Tizen, in principle also supported by Intel, is based on Linux, and is heir to Nokia's ill-fated MeeGo. The idea behind Tizen is to cover smartphones, tablets, car entertainment systems, and televisions.

Initially it was presented as an open system, but as of version two a complicated licensing system. Also, even though your development system or SDK is component-based open source, has been published under an unopened license.

The third version of Tizen is about to land among us, and what better way to try it out on next-gen mobile devices of the South Korean company. A few days ago we already saw it running on a Galaxy S III and today, again thanks to friends at SamMobile, we have images of it on a Galaxy S4.

Apparently the idea is that this version 3.0 is available to early 2014. The interface has been worked a lot, cleaner and simpler, in keeping with the times. In general, it does not vary too much from what has already been seen in Android, probably so that current users of our system do not experience too much initial rejection.

As we said in the introduction, Tizen is a step in the direction of having an alternative to Android by Samsung. However, it would still be a long way from being a substitute, and probably, for the moment, it is no more than a «Complement» to terminals with Google operating system waiting to see how the market evolves. Very smart from Samsung.

People buy Android, because as long as it works smoothly and there are many compatible apps, the hardware does not matter to people. What's more, people prefer innovation more as happened in the Moto X with its chip dedicated to voice recognition.

Samsung relies heavily on Android as irritating as this is for Samsung. Changing a strategy that works is suicidal at this point. And using a closed-code system is a certain death sentence.

If Samsung changes operating system bankruptcy
For the amount of innovation that Google has.
