Xiaomi is working on a round smartwatch

Xiaomi watch concept.

The Chinese company, Xiaomi, has been known in recent years for its different mobile devices that have caused a furor among the Android user. With good finishes, well equipped and at a good price, Xiaomi has become one of the Asian rivals to beat.

Not without being happy with the sales of its terminals, the Chinese company wants to go one step further and enter what it intends to be the next boom in the mobile industry, smart watches. That is why Xiaomi is already working on one round smartwatch.

Smart watches have a sweet tooth, their new technology makes us want one when we see them without really knowing what it is for. But leaving aside the functionality of the SmartWatch, it seems that this year 2015, will be the year of this type of device. You just have to see how large companies are betting on it and have already presented different smartwatches so far this year.

It was clear that with the presentation of the Apple Watch, many of the mobile device manufacturers would also announce their smart watches, because no one wants to be left behind on this wearable journey. Xiaomi, although it has not officially communicated it, is one of the manufacturers that does not want to miss the train of this trip, so it is already working on a smart watch with round physical appearance.

The first rumors about the future Xiaomi wearable began at the end of last year and now those rumors are gaining momentum as we know some small design details. The Chinese company wants its device to outpace the competition, as you will take a risk by bringing a slim, round and large diameter smartwatch. It would also have a metallic finish and would be able to recognize user by heart pulse rate. You could also count on the NFC technology that would be used to pay for products in different establishments among other functionalities.

The Xiaomi Watch, to call it one way, would enter to compete with the first generation of the Moto 360, but nevertheless seeing the manufacturer's strategy, the price of one compared to the other would be the point of infringement that would make the difference between both devices. But perhaps the most striking thing is that the wearable wouldn't carry Android Wear as an operating system so it is strange since the company has always opted for Android in its terminals under the company's customization layer, MIUI OS.

As we can see, the Xiaomi smartwatch looks very good and could become one of the most affordable terminals for the user thanks to the quality-price for which it has always bet. For now, we will have to wait to know more information about it. Hopefully the company does not delay and announce its smartwatch soon.
