This is how YouTube's dark mode will look like

A couple of days ago we informed you of the new update that the YouTube application had received, an update with which the application adapted to 18:9 screens only. pinching on the screen. Throughout the year that we are about to finish most of the range models, and not so high, they have opted for the 18: 9 screen, a screen that when playing videos shows us two black side stripes.

Fortunately with this update, one less problem has been fixed within the app. Now the only thing missing is that once and for all offer dark mode, a dark mode that has already been available for a few months through the web version. Fortunately, it seems that there is little left. 

As the guys from Android Police have been able to verify, in the code of the latest version of YouTube, the update that has brought us the adaptation to the 18: 9 screens, we can find indications that in the next update the dark mode it could end up being available in the app. As you can guess, this night mode change the background color from white to black, showing an interface very similar to the one we can find in the web version.

We don't quite understand why Google still does not offer the dark theme, when more and more manufacturers are betting on this mode, a mode that facilitates the reading of content without ambient light, Twitter being the last to implement it. But, if we stop to think carefully, the delay has its part of logic, since the content of this platform shows videos that as a general rule offer us constant color changes, so night mode is not a real solution for those make use of the platform in the dark.
