The upcoming Blackberry device will be a modified variant of the Blackberry KEY2 launched in June this year. The specifications of this terminal have just been leaked by Roland Quandt, the famous French technophile.
The name of the next KEY2 phone will adopt the term LE at the end, thus remaining Blackberry KEY2 LE. In addition, the data suggests that it will arrive with an unexciting feature: it will not be tactile.
According to the leaked technical specifications, The BlackBerry KEY2 LE will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor. This eight-core SoC and 64-bit architecture will be paired with 4GB of RAM and 32 / 64GB of internal storage space, although other previous information indicates that it will be equipped with an SD660, so the model of chip by which the manufacturer will decide, in the event that it has not already done so, of course.
On the other hand, as we can see in the image provided by the AndroidPolice team, the KEY2 LE will have two rear cameras, but these will be less powerful than the original variant. Instead of two 12MP sensors, they will be 13MP and 5MP sensors.
As for the screen, this will keep the 4.5 inches of dimensions under a resolution of 1.620 x 1.080 pixels, although it will not be tactile. Beneath it, the QWERTY keyboard appears to be unmodified, and is said to house a fingerprint reader below the space bar key.
While the design of the KEY2 as well as the KEY2 LE appears to be the same, the latter is slightly smaller and measures 150.25 x 71.8 x 8.35mm. It also weighs less: 156g. In addition to this, the battery, instead of being conserved in a capacity of 3.500mAh, it is reduced to around 3.000mAh, which represents a fairly significant decrease in terms of autonomy.
