samsung foldable smartphone

Although the years go by, there are things that do not change. One of them is to see how the manufacturer Samsung continues to be on the covers of the media in the mobile sector due to all the news that exists around this manufacturer based in South Korea. When we talk about Samsung devices, we see how the manufacturer has launched many models in the last year, each one of them different.

It started the year by presenting to the world its first smartphone with a curved screen under the name of Galaxy S6 Edge, being one of the first devices with a curved screen on the market, which may mark a new trend for manufacturers of mobile devices. It seems that within the company they have the motto "Everything is possible" and the result of this is to see the great variety of devices that the Korean manufacturer has.

That said, since Androidsis We noticed different news related to future devices from the Asian company. Much of this news comes to us thanks to the publication of patents. In these patents we can observe different ideas and concepts that the company has, although not all patents represent a product that we have to see in the market.

Samsung patents a folding smartphone with a projector

One of the latest patents related to Samsung is the one that has revolved around what appears to be a folding smartphone with a projector. Folding smartphones are not something new on the market, but it would be if their screen was the folding element. In this patent you can see a concept of what Samsung could manufacture in the future. The design of the concept is peculiar since when I saw it, it seemed to me the famous Nintendo video console, the Nintendo DS.

In the documents we also find something interesting that we have already mentioned above. We are talking about this device concept having a projector as well. That an intelligent device has a projector, is not something new since, we have seen how Lenovo or Samsung itself have launched their own products. But nevertheless, the fact that the screen of this smartphone is foldable and comes combined with a projector, makes this Samsung patent interesting. According to the first rumors, one of the functionalities of this projector would be to project holographic images.

At the moment more is unknown about the possible terminal of the Korean manufacturer, the only thing we know is everything that the patent shows and some rumors about the possibilities of the device. So we have no choice but to wait for more information about this smartphone with a folding screen from Samsung.

The patents do come out but they take time to reach the market, as the curved smartphone Samsung presented at CES 2012 and came out until IFA 2014 with the Galaxy Note Edge, the same will happen with this, it will take at least 2 years to come out or more.
