The Pocophone F1 was one of the most important surprises of last year, a terminal with some very good performance at a more than reasonable price. At first everything was very nice, until as the terminal was reaching the first users and the negative points of the terminal began to be revealed.
The Pocophone F1 is good in practically all areas. But after a bit of research, it was possible to see how was unable to play the HD videos available on the major video streaming platforms like Netflix, Hulu or Amazon Prime, because they had opted for DRM Widevine L3 instead of DRM Widevine L1.
The main streaming video platforms use the DRM Widevine L1 protocol to prevent their content from being illegally downloaded and shared in HD, so It is a fundamental requirement to be able to use these platforms. However, Pocophone adopted DRM Wideline L3, a very bad decision for users and one that probably affected its sales in Europe.
Guys! You asked for it, we got it. #POCOF1 is now Widevine L1 certified. We have started rolling out an OTA update (version - 9.2.25) for beta users. Once the beta test is complete, we shall roll it in the upcoming stable updates. We really appreciate your patience.@IndiaPOCO

The head of Poco in India, has published a Tweet in which he states that they are working to launch an update so that his terminal be compliant with Widevine L1 certificate, allowing you to play HD content from Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and other streaming video services.
For now, this update is in beta, beta that users can already try. After the beta period ends, the company will release the update worldwide via OTA.
Since it was released, the Pocophone F1 has been overtaken by other rivals, although with the price drop it has experienced, it is still a highly recommended terminal if you want a good, nice and cheap terminal.
