Xiaomi gets closer to wireless charging
The Wireless Power Consortium was created in 2008 and its mission is to create and promote the adoption of Qi wireless charging technology. In 2012 it regained importance and popularity when Nokia and Google launched phones that supported inductive wireless charging using the Qi standard. Although Xiaomi has not officially announced it, the Wireless Power Consortium website lists the Chinese technology company as one of its members.
