Yesterday we met Xiaomi's new bet for action cameras where the GoPro reigns almost at ease. These cameras allow us to record everything we want when we are doing extreme sports, while those of us who do not risk our lives, we can use it to video the quiet walk we take through a park without much excitement.
Now it is LG that announces its Action CAM action camera with support for LTE and YouTube Live. LG has stated that it is the first action camera to be available globally with LTE connectivity. This means that you can stream in real time from YouTube Live without the need for a smartphone.
Its characteristics include its water resistance with IP67 certification, which means that it can be submerged up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. LG will launch a fully waterproof case later this year.
Action CAM has a 1.400 mAh battery It can record HD video for 4 hours and can take pictures at 12.3 MP resolution. It also offers the option of adding a microSD card of up to 2 TB. Includes 2 GB of RAM.
Action CAM will be available in South Korea next month with the global launch to follow immediately. LG has not specified the countries in which Action CAM will be launched, but it does clarify that North America and Europe will be included in the global deployment. What we do not know is the price, but this will be known when this product is launched locally.
