Huawei also wants to have its own assistant

The assistants mode is dominated by both Google and Amazon. According to Strategy Analytics, the share of the two most used assistants was 93% in the third quarter of 2017. The rest of assistants such as Samsung's Bixby and Apple's Siri barely have devices on the market, so its share is practically negligible, like Microsoft's Cortana.

But it seems that They are not the only assistants that we will have in the near future, since the telecommunications company Huawei plans to launch head first into this competitive market by launching a new assistant, although initially it would only be available in the Chinese market, although it is likely that soon after it will reach more markets.

These new rumors contrast with the statements made by the CEO of Huawei, Richard You at the last CES held in Las Vegas to The Verge publication in which he stated that the company had no plans to enter the virtual assistants market.

Currently, Amazon and Google are much stronger than us; Alexa and Google Assistant are better? How are we going to be able to compete?

According to Bloomberg, citing payroll sources, the telecommunications company Huawei is developing its own virtual assistant for smartphones and other smart devicesAlthough it will only be available in the Asian market, where both Google and Amazon have little presence in the market, due to the limitations imposed by the Chinese government on foreign companies, especially American ones, as in recent years.

As a result of these limitations to American companies,  the American government has vetoed the entry of Huawei in the market accusing her of working for the Chinese government, a severe blow to the Asian company that had deposited part of its growth in its international expansion in the third largest smartphone market in the world, behind China and India.
