Acer just announced the Liquid S1 at Computez in Taipei, with a huge 5.7-inch screen.
It seems that the trend today is make bigger and bigger mobiles When in its time it was just the other way around, getting smaller and smaller and The Liquid S1 is a good example.
The Liquid S1 is a 720p device, even though the screen is quite large. As such, it will not look as new as it might appear on other terminals. Inside the S1 has a 1.5Ghz quad-core Mediatek processor, which is geared for lower budgets.
There is only 1Gb of RAM and it has no LTE radio. A feature that it does have is dual sim, this data being very important for certain markets. The battery would seem small for the large LCD panel it has, being only 2400mAh, but that if it is removable. It has 8gb internal storage and well covered by a microSD slot with up to 32GB of additional space.
One of the peculiarities that this new Ace smartphone has is the software. The Liquid S1 works with Android 4.2 with hardly any modifications. Acer has just a few extras implemented such as floating widgets, profiles, and some customizations for the camera.
Here we find an Android terminal that does not have the keys on the screen, but it corresponds to what is preferred by Google with the three keys that we find in most devices. The Acer Liquid S1 will be launched for the time being in France, Belgium, Holland, Russia, the United Kingdom and Germany, assuming that its commercialization will be extended to other European countries.
El price will be € 329 or that is the same 427 $. A very interesting mid-range smartphone for purchase with a large screen to enjoy the latest version of Android Jelly Bean 4.2.
