Android Lollipop included a native option for screen recording without having to relegate in apps that needed ROOT privileges for this feature. A functionality that can come in handy to create videos for tutorials or even to later edit them in a video editing program in order to upload them to our YouTube account and show how well we do with certain video games.
Since that native option was not paired with an app that used it, there are various options in the Google Play Store in order to record the screen of our smartphone and then do whatever we want with that video. Among all those options that can be found in the multimedia content store, we have selected five that can be perfectly useful for transferring to a video those minutes in which you want to teach a friend how to use a certain functionality or that victory achieved in Clash Royale, one of the fashion games of the great Supercell.
Rec
One of the most experienced apps on Android for recording the terminal screen and that is still pushing hard to be one of the best. It is not that it is an easy app to use, since on the first screen there are options such as the bitrate, resolution and timing controls That can confuse the user, but for others it will surely come in handy to adjust these parameters to get the best image quality without the weight of the video being too high.
In the free version of Rec there is no time limit or watermark in the recorded video. By unlocking the Pro version you can remove the advertising and give access to more settings such as those that come by default with certain pre-configured settings.
AZ Screen Recorder
It is simply the best app for this type of functionality, at least from my point of view. It has a great series of features such as ability to create an extra layer with the front camera for those special videos for youtubers.
You also have the option of add a watermark or text as an option. Other of its details is to control the video recording speed in order to achieve a special slow-motion or timelapse effect. And how could it be otherwise, the options for video resolution, bitrate, orientation and frame rate.
Premium options allow access to a GIF converter, video editor and an option to draw on screen.
Mobizen Screen Recorder
After those two alternatives with more advanced options, we go to Mobizen Screen Recorder as a very simple app to use for the user who does not want complications. And it is that when the app is launched, the settings are configured automatically for the devices.
Once the recorded video is finished, certain cuts can be made while extracting some images from it. The watermark is enabled by default, but can be removed from the menu settings.
ADV Screen Recorder
An app that if it worked correctly all the time could surpass the others, but the truth is that make high-quality videos which, in the end, is what we want. It has some interesting options such as the option to draw on the screen, so you can easily record tutorials with it.
Another of your options is that you can add front camera over video, something that can give a better end result for certain types of video.
YouTube Gaming
YouTube Gaming is an app that allows us to broadcast games in real time but also offers the ability to record videos in 480 or 720p. When we record the videos, they are transferred to the Movies / Screencasts folder, making it a great option for recording apps and video games. The only thing that will upload the recorded video to your YouTube video channel, which can also come in handy for you to share with your friends or family and can play it from there.
YouTube Gaming APK
I like Apowersoft Screen Recorder. It supports external audio source and the use of the front camera. I use it to record games and video chats on my android, it's perfect!
