Just before Google I / O arrived with that keynote that put us in front of the biggest news from Mountain View for this year, such as Google Home or their virtual reality, they were the ones who launched a new app to create groups in which to share very quickly all kinds of content that has to do with links, YouTube videos, searches and those files that we have in the local memory of the phone.
By almost taking a back seat, Google Spaces is still alive and well with a series of quite striking options and that we are going to bring to light to see if we are able to convince you to use it. An app that focuses on sharing all kinds of things and how easy it is to invite users to create a group with a specific theme. While others like Slack, which I talked about not long ago, are still more focused on professional activity and work projects, Spaces is more about bringing together clubs and other types of groups.
Share content the easy way
One of the virtues of Spaces is that we can share all kinds of content with any group in which we participate in a fairly easy way. We have a button located at the bottom It serves for this kind of role.
We can use google search, the integrated player within the application, the images from the mobile gallery or write text to share almost anything. Everything we shared recently will appear so that we can use it again in another group. And this is where you will find one of the qualities of this application by focusing on the ease of passing all kinds of links or files.
Interact naturally
All that content that is shared from a group serves so that you can interact with the and comment on anything you can think of through the chat. Each entry shared in the group space allows you to interact with the chat to give your opinion.
This interface for commenting is same as typical of chats, so you will feel at home to start a discussion in the group. This allows us to focus on a specific issue that has to do with what is shared.

Stay up-to-date on group activity
If the group usually participates on a daily basis with many entries, being aware of everything that happens can be quite difficult. In Spaces we have the option of go to the activity tab to know all the messages and things shared through any of the groups.
From this activity tab you can go directly to any of all notifications or activity received from this tab without major problems. A space to be at the moment of everything that happens in all the groups in which you are participating.
Find content through search
As more content is added, the activity tab may become too large and we may need something more specific such as the search box that we have at the top of the main Spaces screen.
When pressing on the drawer, all the latest posts published will appear and the option to filter content by shared YouTube links, images or videos. A special tool that works quite well.
In short, an app called Spaces that has remained overshadowed by everything that happened at Google I / O, but it has several interesting features to gather a group of friends around a hobby.
