As the months have passed since Google launched the final version of Android 11 for the Pixel range, the number of manufacturers that are updating their terminals to the latest version of Android is increasing at a slower pace than you might expect. The latest manufacturer that has just released the corresponding update is Sony.
Sony just released, just like announced at the end of November, upgrade to Android 11 for Xperia 10 II, a phone with 5G technology that was launched on the market in February 2020, although it did not reach other countries until the middle of the year.
According to the guys from XDA Forum and we can also read on Reddit, this update includes the security patch corresponding to the month of December and at the moment, it has begun to be available in Southeast Asia, so it is a matter of days, or perhaps a week that it reaches the rest of the countries where Sony has commercialized this terminal.
Sony does not usually make many changes compared to the official version that Google launches on the market, as long as they are not limited by the hardware of the system, so that the owners of this model will be able to enjoy most, if not all, of the functions that have come from the hand of the eleventh version of Android such as the new multimedia controls, conversation notifications, bubbles, the ability to record the screen, new smart home controls ...
This update is lighter than you might initially expect, as takes up less than a GB. Even so, if you want the update to be downloaded as soon as possible and you don't want to use your data rate, you should wait for the moment when you start charging your terminal every night.
